1784, alleged medieval customized whereby the feudal lord had the ability to have sexual intercourse with all the bride of their vassal to their marriage night before she went along to the woman spouse, from French, actually "the lord's right." There is certainly little proof it in fact existed; this indicates having come to exist in imagination 16c. or 17c. The Latin kind was jus primae noctis, "law associated with first night."
