A European wild ox formerly widespread from the continent, such as the Brit Isles, now surviving on woodland reserves in Lithuania. Used 1690s into us species generally mis-called a buffalo.
In addition know whilst the "United states Buffalo," bison is currently raised on game facilities. The meat is extremely tender and tastes quite a bit like slim meat. It's no obvious gamey flavor.
