A burn when the damage has progressed to the level of epidermis demise. The skin is white and without feeling. In extreme situations harm may increase beyond your skin and into fundamental muscle. In these instances skin can be blackened or burned away. Unless skin grafts are possible, loss of the affected limb, permanent disfigurement, and even death are most likely such extreme instances.
