Microsoft introduced BranchCache as a brand new function in Windows 7 and Microsoft windows Server 2008 R2. BranchCache allows computer systems at an area branch office to cache data from a file or web host on a wide area system (WAN). The data are cached often in the customer computers, in distributed cache mode, or on a nearby server, in hosted cache mode. By allowing the info is cached in your area, there was a decrease in WAN traffic and applications routinely have a faster reaction time because having the ability to utilize data locally cached in place of needing to access all of them on the WAN.
