Whenever there clearly was a heated conversation or discussion about the merits for the Catholic Church (usually on the net), the likelihood of some body mentioning the Clergy Sex Abuse Scandal increases. Similar to Godwin's Law, Brady's Law is invoked whenever conversation about the Catholic Church gets heated, and instead of somebody having a real argument, somebody inside conversation (that is typically highly up against the Catholic Church) introduces the clergy sex misuse scandals in an attempt to pain the Catholic in a bad light, without in fact attempting to truly address his arguments. Known as after Cardinal Brady from the Ireland Intercourse Abuse Scandals, Brady's Law is invoked often when the conversation or discussion concerning the Catholic Church becomes more plus heated, the likelihood of somebody invoking the sex abuse scandals increases.
