In cricket a player who is able to play much more than one part to a great standard. The original allrounder is a batsman and a bowler (Eg. Ian Botham, Andrew Flintoff, Imran Khan, Sir Gary Sobers) but recently a new variety of wicketkeeper-batsman allrounders have emerged with Adam Gilchrist of Australian Continent at the forefront.
