Camp Workcoeman is situated in the hills of northwest Connecticut in scenic New Hartford. The camp consists of 550 acres in the shore of beautiful western Hill Lake most likely the cleanest lake in Connecticut.Established in 1924, it is one of several earliest constantly operated Scout camps in the nation. For 83 many years, a large number of Scouts and leaders have had unforgettable Scouting experiences at Camp Workcoeman. This fine tradition of Scouting goes on today.Camp Workcoeman can be used year-round for short term camping for several Scouting Cub Packs, Scout Troops, Venture Crews as well as region and purchase for the Arrow activities.During the six-week summer camp period, over 1200 Scouts enjoy unforgettable Scouting experiences. The summer camp season consist of 6 months of Boy Scout citizen Adventure Camp along with Cub Scout Day Camp. Furthermore home to Laurel musical Camp.
