A pre-existing structure into which an insert are moved. In molecular biology, a gene transformation process in which the old gene is changed with a duplicate of a silent gene as well as the brand new backup becomes energetic. As the procedure involves replacing one ready made build with another in a working slot, it is termed a cassette mechanism.
