Bypass for the heart and lungs (including, during open-heart surgery). Blood going back to one's heart is redirected through a heart-lung machine (a pump-oxygenator) prior to it being gone back to the arterial blood circulation. The equipment does the task of both the heart as well as the lungs, by pumping bloodstream also supplying oxygen to red bloodstream cells.
