meaning of Calcific bursitis

Calcific bursitis meaning in Medical Dictionary

A bursa is a slim fluid-filled sac that reduces rubbing forces between cells associated with the human body. Chronic (duplicated of long-standing) swelling for the bursa (bursitis) can cause calcification of bursa. That is known as "calcific bursitis." The calcium deposition (calcification) can happen provided the swelling occurs.
