An Italian stew comprising various cuts of animal meat, including zampone, boiled in a rich broth with vegetables. The complete dish is served with cornichons, pickled onions and a variation of chutney called mostarda di Cremona. They are whole or big items of good fresh fruit prepared in a spicy mustard flavored syrup. Other common sauces tend to be salsa verde and mayonnaise.
