The amount dropped to five with the creation of PricewaterhouseCoopers following merger of cost Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand. It then dropped to four because of the demise of Arthur Andersen (Accenture, in the beginning labeled as Andersen Consulting, is made in 1989).
