1889, mystical, tolerant Iranian religion launched by a Mirza Ali Mohammed ibn Radhik, Shiraz vendor executed for heresy in 1850, and called for their leading disciple, Baha Allah (Persian "splendor of Jesus;" eventually starting Arabic). In addition can be known as Babism, following the name taken because of the creator, Bab-ed-Din, "gate for the faith."
